Admissions
Thank you for considering BIshop McGuinness Catholic High School. Since 1950, McGuinness has provided quality secondary education for students in the greater Oklahoam City area. Catholic schools are traditional in their academic background in core subjects such as math, science, English, foreign language, and social sciences. 
Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School is open to students who have successfully completed the eighth grade, have the ability to follow the course of study provided by the school, and have exemplary conduct. Preference is given to children of graduates, siblings of current students and to those coming from the Catholic and private feeder schools of the Oklahoma City community. The school enjoys a diverse student body with regard to race, religious preference, and ethnic as well as socioeconomic background.
Incoming 9th Graders
Are required to take the STS High School Placement Test at Bishop McGuinness. You can register for the test on our website. Additional testing is required in May for placement in certain classes.
Must have up-to-date immunization records on file with the school.
Student may be asked to provide verification of 8th grade completion.
Will be notified of Registration Nights by mail. Courses will be selected and other information is provided at Registration Night. (If unable to attend, call Ms. Hanson at (405) 842 6638 ext. 225 to arrange for a registration appointment.)
10th and 11th Grade Transfer Students
Are asked to schedule an individual interview. Call Mrs. Bleything, 10th and 11th Grade Counselor at (405) 842 6638, ext. 245, or email her at ableything@bmchs.org, for an appointment.
Must provide at the time of the interview:
An up-to-date immunization record
A transcript from their current school (and any other high school attended)
A letter of good standing from their school principal or counselor will be required to take a drug test before admittance
