Sports Hall of Fame
The Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School Athletic Hall of Fame was established in 2003 to honor the greatest athletes that have competed at our school. The members of the Hall of Fame are recognized in the Hall of Fame room located off of the lobby in the McCarthy gymnasium.
Selection to the Hall of Fame is open to players, coaches and administrators who have distinguished themselves through their contributions to Irish athletics. The Induction Committee, which selects the new members, examines the potential member’s character, athletic accomplishments, recognition - such as All-State or All-City, and their post high school athletic achievements. The committee originally made selections annually, but now selects new members every 2 years with the new members recognized at an induction ceremony and dinner.
