Dear Prayer Partners,
We celebrate the great feast of Pentecost this Sunday. God’s Spirit gives us peace and the strength to love as Jesus loved. This gift of the Spirit and the accompanying charisms are given for “some benefit” which is the building up the Body of Christ, the Church. No matter the talent or ability they need to be used for the benefit of others. We each will be blessed by others’ gifts as they will be blessed by mine. What will you do this week to strengthen your Church community?
Lord of Life, grant eternal rest to all who have died: Doris Jones (Rick Jones’ mother), Rosemary (Sr. Barbara Joseph’s sister), Patricia Grubb’s sister-in-law, Fr. Roberto Quant, Larry Ressler I, Betty Allen, Richard Schwarz, over 1200 who died in the collapsed building in Bangladesh, and all victims of war and violence of any kind
Those nearing death: Cameron Merritt, Agnes Pabst (Janet Todd’s aunt)

For all our students as they ready for Finals and AP exams; may they study well and seek the Spirit’s guidance
That all Kairos alumni live their 4th Day, day by day, in faith, hope, love, and in service
For all those impacted by adverse weather and natural conditions (wild fires, tornadoes, earthquakes, flooding, etc)
That justice and care for the poor would move world leaders to relieve the distress that afflicts the poor
That all Catholics will give time and effort to strengthen their faith during this “Year of Faith”
That all seeking employment be successful in procuring jobs, especially Beverly Sanchez and Heidi
For the needs and intentions of all our alumni as they deal with the rigors and challenges of college life, strive to meet family needs, and attempt to share their faith in daily life
That God’s Spirit will shower many graces and blessings on: Pope Francis, Pope Benedict XVI emeritus, Archbishop Coakley, Archbishop Beltran, all priests, especially those receiving new assignments, our seminarians especially those to be ordained deacons, those studying for the permanent deaconate, and our retiring priests
That the BMCHS’ students and faculty rejoice in the graces provided by the coming of God’s Spirit
That all our servicemen and women be kept safe, free from harm and return to their families soon, especially for Mitch McGarry, Victor Chavez, Hannah Kohlness, Patrick Minnich, Abram McNeil, Russ Johnson, Brian Jackson, Brad Nutty, Capt. Justin Mancinelli, Joey Miles, Kelly Patterson, Zac Morton, and all others in our acquaintance
That Sarah Pennington, Lorryn McGarry and all those pregnant rejoice in the new life they have contributed to and be examples to our world of true love and respect for life from womb to tomb
That violence be replaced by justice, love, peace, forgiveness, and understanding for people in the many places in our world where suffering, violence, prejudice, and injustice cause harm to human life
Bless and protect all our family members, especially grandparents and older relatives, as they deal with the life challenges of aging and/or long-term illnesses
May our families and homes be places of peace, love and acceptance and never places of physical violence towards each other
That our benefactors and all who are associated with our BMCHS’ family be particularly blessed with a desire for holiness, forgiveness of heart, and growth in faith
That God would gift with courage, hope, and faith families dealing with long-term illnesses, financial problems, addictions, Bullying and/or any other life altering challenges
For the needs and intentions of foster children, their foster families, and their ‘birth’ families
For an end to bullying, and for families, especially Kurt & Laura Smalley, impacted by bullying and its results
For blessings on our Administration, teachers, office staff, maintenance and kitchen crews, library staff, Counselors and all our families as we continue to move toward the completion of this 2012 – 2013 school year
For an end to human and drug trafficking so that people can reach their God-given potential as children of God and may those who work with and for the poor be blessed for their efforts, especially Malala Yousafzai (Pakistan) and Saher Gul (Afghanistan)
For Cynthia and her 4 sons; may her oldest, Benjamin, and all others, especially Hayden Lopez be freed from their addiction to drugs and Pornography
That those suffering from darkness in their life may turn to the Light offered by God’s Spirit
That those who entered the Church this past Easter continue to grow in their faith, love, knowledge of the Lord, and dedicated to the Lord
That God’s Spirit would guide the Supreme Court Justices as they discuss the many questions which have moral and social ramifications
