Academics is the essential core of a Bishop McGuinness education.  A structured course of study helps students grow in their faith, clarify personal goals and provides 21st century skills necessary to pursue future endeavors successfully. With this in mind, an individual course of study is developed for each student based on God-given talents, academic policy of the school and guidance from the school’s professional staff.

Bishop McGuinness offers more than 100 courses – including core curriculum corses offered on multiple levels. Some of these courses provide required credits for graduation while others provide elective credits. Students are encouraged to seek advice from teachers, counselors and the administrative staff before selecting courses for their own schedule. They also are expected to choose electives that expand their educational and vocational career interests. It is the intent of the school to provide the best possible four-year academic plan with respect to individual abilities, prospects for greatest possible growth, and options open for post-secondary opportunities.
