2025-2026 IRISH CHEER TRYOUT DATES 

  • Tuesday, March 25th - Mandatory Cheer Tryout Parent/Cheerleader Meeting at 6pm (current BMCHS students only) in the Auditorium
  • Sunday, March 30th - Mandatory Cheer Tryout Clinic from 2pm-4pm  (current BMCHS students only) in the Cheer Room
  • Wednesday, April 2nd - Optional Open Gym from 4pm-6:30pm (current BMCHS students only) in the Cheer Room
  • Friday, April 4th - Mandatory Mock Tryouts begin at 5pm (current BMCHS students only) in the Cheer Room
  • Sunday, April 6th - Mandatory Cheer Tryouts begin at 2pm (current BMCHS students only) in the Cheer Room
  • Tuesday, April 8th - Mandatory Cheer Tryout Parent/Cheerleader Follow-up meeting at 6pm (current BMCHS students only) in the Auditorium
  • Friday, May 23rd at 12pm - Mandatory Incoming Freshmen Cheer Tryout Parent/Cheerleader Meeting in the Cheer Room
  • Friday, May 23rd at 1pm - Mandatory Incoming Freshmen Cheer Tryout begins in the Cheer Room
  • Tuesday, May 29th at 6pm - Mandatory Incoming Freshmen Follow-up Parent Meeting in the Cheer Room

OTHER IMPORTANT DATES:

  • May 27th-30th - Mandatory Practices before camp
  • June 2nd-6th - Mandatory Practices before camp
  • June 9th-11th - CAMP DATES at OU (Camp is mandatory)
  • June 12th-July 6th - Summer Break for State Team members
  • July 7th - State Team members report back to practice
  •  

What you will learn during Clinic and must perform on Tryout Day.

Skills that will be involved:

  • 3 Jump Combo (connected by a whip or a clap)  
  • Running Tumbling Pass  
  • Standing Back Handspring, Standing Back Tuck, or Standing Full
  • Double Toe-Touch, Toe-Touch Back Handspring, or a Toe- Touch Back Tuck (one of these  will be in your cheer, whichever one you are capable of doing) 

*Note: Please don’t worry if you can’t do all of these skills. They are just options for  you to think about.  

What to wear on Tryout Day:

  • Black Shorts  
  • Black Shirt (absolutely no logos or prints)  
  • Any type of athletic shoe  
  • NO Jewelry  
  • NO Nail polish  

Please wear Black Shorts and a Black T-Shirt on the day of Tryouts. Any type of athletic shoe is  acceptable. Please wear your hair up and out of your face. It doesn’t hurt to wear a bow. During Clinic and Mock Tryouts you are allowed to wear any type of workout attire that you would like. Just be sure that you are comfortable and able to move freely.
