Since 1950, Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School has provided a quality college preparatory education for students in the greater Oklahoma City area. Catholic schools are traditional in their academic background in core subjects such as math, science, English, foreign languages and social sciences. It is, however, our Catholic faith values that enable our school to address the needs of the whole person.

The Bishop McGuinness campus has been transformed over the past 15 years. Starting with the renovation of our auditorium and culminating with the expansion of the new education building and science and math wings, we have made over $35 million in improvements. Our school is now a true twenty-first century educational facility. New buildings and improved facilities are exciting, but they do not define a school.

Bishop McGuinness students are involved. From academics to extracurricular activities and service projects, our students are eager to make a difference in the world.

The highly qualified Bishop McGuinness teaching staff works tirelessly to provide the best possible educational experience for our students. Sixty percent of the staff hold advanced degrees. The 12:1 student to teacher ratio gives our teachers the ability to spend quality instructional time with each student. McGuinness teachers provide an end-of-day tutorial time, giving each student the opportunity to achieve at their highest level.

You will find many educational choices in our great city. Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School is unique among these choices for a variety of reasons. Our size permits us to offer a wide variety of extra curricular activities and programs typically found only in a large metropolitan high school while maintaining a personal connection with our students and their families.

We have been honored by the Acton Institute as one of the Top 50 Catholic High Schools in America, and are consistently voted by Readers Choice as the top private school in the metropolitan area.

It is, however, our Catholic heritage that makes our school special. Each student is challenged to grow spiritually. Faith is woven into the fabric of our daily life at McGuinness. Because of this, we are able to deal with day-to-day issues in a manner not possible in other schools. Our graduates often comment on how the spiritual life of the school has made a lasting impact on their lives.

We welcome the opportunity to serve you and your children.

Yours in Christ,

David L. Morton
